How the EPI works
The Energy Performance Indicator scores plants on actual versus expected energy use. The expected value comes from a regression on 480 plants that controls for production volume, climate region, and months of operation.
- 1Plant infoName, ZIP, NAICS, reporting year.
- 2ProductionTotal asphalt sold (inclusive of RAP), months in operation, LTPP climate region.
- 3EnergyAnnual quantities and costs for up to 8 fuels: electricity, on-site renewables, natural gas, diesel, recycled fuel oil, propane, residual oil, other.
- 4ResultsYour 1–100 score, source/site energy comparison to the median (50) and efficient (75) benchmarks, and a GHG breakdown.
